About
Located in the heart of San Francisco, Giorgio's Pizzeria offers a taste of authentic Italian cuisine that will transport you straight to the streets of Italy. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I was blown away by the variety of options this Italian pizza and sandwich spot has to offer.
Giorgio's Pizzeria is not just your average pizza joint. They go above and beyond to cater to their customers, offering vegan and vegetarian options, wheelchair accessibility, and even gender-neutral restrooms. The attention to detail in their service and amenities truly sets them apart.
I had the pleasure of trying their signature pizzas and pasta dishes, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The thin, crispy crust of the pizza combined with the gooey cheese pull in the middle left me craving more. The spaghetti and meatballs, as well as the spicy penne, were some of the best pasta dishes I've had in the Bay Area.
What stood out to me the most was the friendly and down-to-earth service at Giorgio's Pizzeria. It truly feels like a family-owned establishment, with a welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.
After reading the rave reviews from customers like Jerry C., Joseph A., and Norris T., I can confidently say that Giorgio's Pizzeria is a must-visit for any pizza lover in San Francisco. Don't miss out on their delicious calzones, refreshing happy hour specials, and the mouth-watering Rossi Calzone.
Next time you're in the mood for a slice of Italy, make sure to stop by Giorgio's Pizzeria on Clement St. You won't be disappointed.
“ Why isn't this at least 4.5 stars!? AMAZING pizza and pasta that brought my wife and I back to the food we had in Italy. Speaking of pasta, I also don't get why others are not raving about it. The spaghetti and meatballs as well as the spicy penne were the best pasta we've had in the Bay Area. Service is great - down to earth and no frills. ”
“ went with karmina and riann and it was yummy the server was tea and the food was tea. would go back ”
“ Old school NY style pizza parlor with a nice variety of custom calzones, all wrapped into a friendly Italian family vibe. The pizza is thin with a crispy outer crust while maintaining that signature cheese pull goodness in the middle. We opted for half everything and half Chicken Pesto which I'm pleased to say are both excellent noms. The Rossi Calzone is a nice change of pace and they offer a size for every size of appetite. It's essentially a folded pizza in itself which makes it much more filling that it might appear initially so feel free to share this! ”
“ I'm still learning how I want my pizza made. It's probably because I used to make them with a corn meal crust, I miss that. Georgio's has the regular dough crust. I don't know if it's sourdough but it sure is tasty. Quality of cheese is pretty good too. Everything someone else orders from them that I've had at parties taste better than the ones I order. I just haven't figured out how long I want it cooked or to get thin, regular or deep dish crust, crispy, soft or overcooked. Fresh mozzarella is intintriguing. Sorry, I ate up the pepperoni pizza before I could take a picture. Next time okay. And I will be going back Again and again. My new home pizza place. Yum yummy! ”
“ I've been here a few times and it's pretty good. I know they changed/remodeled the inside either a little before or after the pandemic; and there's limited seating now. You order from the window and they have slices to purchase but there's only 2 options: cheese or pepperoni. I've only gotten the pepperoni and it's tasty and good. It's not the thick pan style, it's thin, but it's not to the point where it's all flimsy when you pick it up. It's good enough to where I've been back a few times for a pepperoni slice. ”
“ Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with a friend's family after playing SF tourist for the day. We had a party of 9 so we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. While waiting we noticed that this place gets a lot of take out orders which is good for them. The staff was friendly and helpful and let us order before our table was ready so that we could get our food quicker when our table was ready. This is what we ordered: House salad (straight and to the point starter salad) Chicken sausage rossa penne (this was a big hit especially with the kiddos and the first dish to be done) Half pepperoni and half cheese pizza (for the kiddos) Half Hawaiian and half Giorgio's Special (for the adults) Both pizzas were great and almost all finished. I am a NY style pizza fan and my only gripe would be that I wish the crust was a bit more crispy but it was still very yummy. I would come back again! ”
“ If you are a True native San Franciscan or are new to San Francisco and raising a family in the San Francisco Inner Richmond or Presidio Heights, Giorgios is YOUR pizzeria. Yes there are new-fangled pizzerias like Amici's, Tony's Slice House which I love but we are talking about Tommasso's and Pasquales level pizzerias. Although it became a takeout only pizza joint during Covid, they did a 50 year old remodel and although much is different as they just reopened their new dining room it just feels good to be back. They have reopened their dining room hours til 7pm for their soft reopening. Menu is the same but visually updated, entrance is now on Clement and not on the corner. Seating area has three fewer booths but appears to cater to more big groups, although capacity seems lower. The pizza crust seems slightly different, but if you are nostalgic for your childhood pizza, this place will bring back memories. Came back to the restaurant with my kids who were home for the holidays and they did seem to still feel at home, so that is a good. Less busy even on a Sunday night after the remodel. Appears as if people take out more often than eating in nowadays ”
